Elliot Wyman

About Me:
I’m Elliot Wyman, a queer and transgender counselor completing my Master’s in Counseling at Northwestern University. With a background in psychology and extensive study in women’s,gender, and LGBTQ+ studies, my passion lies in walking alongside adolescents and emerging adults as they navigate the process of figuring out who they are and where they belong. Having traveled my own journey of identity and self-discovery, I understand how isolating these experiences can feel – and I believe you already carry the strength within you to heal and grow.
My approach is integrative, drawing on Psychodynamic, Person-Centered, CBT, Mindfulness-Based, and Attachment-based frameworks, all through a feminist and multicultural lens. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA+ concerns, gender identity, trauma, or major life transitions, you’ll find a space where all parts of you are genuinely welcomed. I’m known for creating sessions that feel like real conversations — a place where your messiest thoughts, biggest fears, and wildest dreams have room to breathe. Together, we’ll explore difficult emotions and experiences while also celebrating your strengths, acknowledging your progress, and honoring who you are.
