About Maamonai

Life transitions, emotional challenges, and difficulties managing everyday demands can leave you searching for greater understanding and support. I am a counselor-in-training at Northwestern University, providing counseling under licensed clinical supervision. I strive to offer a respectful, welcoming space where your experiences, strengths, and goals guide our work.

My developing approach draws on psychodynamic and Internal Family Systems perspectives, alongside an interest in neuroscience and executive functioning. I am curious about how people understand their experiences, respond to challenges, and develop patterns of thinking and relating. Within my training and supervision, I am building skills in assessment, case conceptualization, and individualized therapeutic support.

Human connection, cultural diversity, and advocacy are central to my professional values. I believe that sharing knowledge about mental health can support self-understanding and a greater sense of agency. I am committed to ethical practice, continued learning, and working collaboratively as you explore meaningful changes in your life.

I am fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, Pashto, and Persian. You are welcome to discuss your language preferences with CARE Counseling, Inc. when exploring counseling options.
